Research indicates that breast implant devices do not cause the higher suicide-rate among women; that women inclined towards psychopathology are likelier to seek and get breast implants, in the first place; a Danish study reported that 8.0 per cent of breast augmentation patients had a pre-operative history of psychiatric hospitalization.
