How painful is a breast augmentation? Would I be able to handle it?

I really want to get my breasts done but I have low pain tolerance. Now here's the thing. A couple years ago I tore my esophogus. Worst pain of my life though I never shed a tear. I could handle that again if it happened. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I was being stabbed by two knives. one through my chest and out my back and one up and down my throat. Now, imagine you going through that. Will an augmentation be as bad or would I be able to handle it from what I've gone through with my esophogus?
